CHRISTMAS SONGS

To the Tune: Jingle Bells
Add to the song by making cardboard bell shapes and covering them with tin foil.  The children can swing them gently, between finger and thumb, while they sing.

Christmas bells, Christmas bells
Ring them all the day
Ring them while you're at your work
And while you're at your play

Christmas bells, Christmas bells
Ring them all the day.
Ring the news that Jesus died
To take our sin away.

To the tune: Stand up, stand up for Jesus

Because the Father loved us
He sent His Son to earth.
In cattle stall they laid Him
While angels hailed His birth.
"Fear not!" they told the shepherds
On that first Christmas morn
"Today in David's city
The Son of God is born."

Because the Father loved us
He sent His Son to die
That we might have salvation
And live with Him on high.
Rejoice this Christmas season
God's wondrous gift receive.
Eternal life is promised
To all who will believe

To the tune: Away in a manger

We wish you Happy Christmas,
Happy Christmas to you.
Do you know the Saviour,
So kind and so true?

He knocks at your heart's door,
Oh let Him come in.
He died upon Calvary
To save you from sin.
